Cremation Urn Size Info

Cremated remains (ashes) can vary in amount due to different cremation processes, temperature variations, bone structure of the deceased, height and age. We recommend you buy an urn slightly larger than calculated to avoid having the urn be too small for the ashes.

The following is a guide only and we do not guarantee the following calculations will be true 100% of the time. If unsure please contact your crematorium or funeral director to confirm exactly what size urn you need to purchase.

• 240 lb. or 108kg person needs an urn that is approximately 240 cubic inches or larger
• 200 lb. or 90kg person needs an urn that is approximately 200 cubic inches or larger
• 150 lb. or 68kg person needs an urn that is approximately 150 cubic inches or larger
• 100 lb. or 45 kg person or pet needs an urn that is approximately 100 cubic inches or larger
• 50 lb or 22 kg. person or pet needs an urn that is approximately 50 cubic inches or larger
• 25 lb. 11kg person or pet needs an urn that is approximately 25 cubic inches or larger
• 10 lb. 4.5 kg person or pet needs an urn that is approximately 10 cubic inches or larger
