In order to allow each and every one of our customers the freedom to easily design their very own memorial to someone that they know and love we have developed our own exclusive specialised software that can be used by all visitors to our website.

 

Each customer has the opportunity to personalise the design and layout of their memorial using the exclusive design section of our website, relevant to the product that they wish to design.

 

While the design system is very simple for our customers to use it is in fact very complex, leading edge computer technology.

 

Within this very simple design system, the customer selects their preferred memorial type, shape and size and then drafts their personalised inscription and uploads it onto their memorial design where it is sized and positioned appropriately by the customer.

 

The customer may then upload their own image or images onto the memorial design. Depending on the memorial product the image could be a laser etched granite image, lifetime image, ceramic photo or a laser etched granite overlay. In the case of granite products the customer can upload one or more images/art from the thousands of images in the Forever Shining website library. Once again, the customer sizes and positions the images to suit their design.

 

In addition to the images mentioned above, the customer may add one or more stainless steel motifs, and raised glass backed motifs to the design, provided space is available on the headstone. Should the memorial be stainless stee,l the customer can also add glass backed motifs. The customer nominates the colour of the glass backed and raised glass backed motifs.

 

When the customer is happy with the design of their memorial they may save that design to our server by clicking on the “save” icon. The customer may email their saved design to family and friends, save that design to their own hard drive or print that design.

 

Furthermore, the customer may purchase that memorial by clicking the “Buy This Design” icon and following the prompts at the shopping cart.

 

The customer may determine the price of their memorial design at any stage during the design process by clicking the “Check Price” icon on the design screen.
