Cremation Service

A cremation service may be conducted in the Chapels provided at the Crematorium of your choice or the service can be held at your local Church or in Our Chapel.

• Service in Crematorium Chapel, Church or other (1 location service) $3,770.00
• Service from a Church or other to Crematorium (2 location services) $3,990.00

For this fee, Logan Funerals provides all necessary services, which include:

• Providing comprehensive advice to and receiving instructions from the family
• Cremation Fee and Permit
• Liaising with medical professionals, collecting medical certificates and attending to registration
• Preparation of documents for complying with regulations
• Transfer of your deceased loved one to our funeral parlour
• Providing Mortuary services to the highest possible preservation and presentation standards in our QFDA standards compliant mortuary
• Availability of Family Chapel for viewing or visitation before the day of the service
• Providing hearse and experienced attendants for conducting the funeral service
• Personalised Memorial Pages to enable mourners to record their attendance at the funeral
• Instructing Crematorium superintendant and ancilliary staff
• Liasing with funeral service providers, such as florists, caterers, musicians etc
• Liasing with clubs and community organisations (eg RSL)
• Assisting with Veteran Affairs, Centrelink and Insurance Claims
• Arrangements with Clergy or Celebrant
• Providing a Certified Copy of Death Certificate for estate purposes

To honour your loved one with a truly individual service as a tribute to their life, the following personal preferences are available to tailor the funeral service to your needs.All outlays are charged as extra to the above. The most usual of these are:

• Coffin or Casket: A wide range is available for selection from $880.00
• Press Notice in any newspaper: Courier Mail approx $250.00 - $300.00
• Family Flowers: Casket Spray approx $220.00
• Memorial Books: A personal momento from $88.00
• Refreshments: Some crematoriums have hospitality rooms on site for refreshments following services. A selection of catering options are available. Due to health regulations, no food or alcohol can be brought into the facilities, and no food can be taken away.
• Mourning Cars: Sedan (seats 4) from $300.00 Stretch (seats 7) from $450.00
• Photo Presentations: Some chapels have facilities for DVD Photo Presentations. Family can attend to the production themselves, or, should you require, we can scan or take photos from disc and produce the DVD on your behalf. Costs vary, depending on setup and production required. It is recommended that any DVD produced should either be brought to us the day before or tested at the Crematorium at least one day before the service. Please ask for further details.
• Viewing: Viewings can be arranged at our Chapel or on the day of the service at the Church or Chapel. Charges apply to afterhours or weekend viewings in our Chapel.
• After Hours: An after hours conveyance fee of $110 applies to conveyance of deceased from place of death to our premises between 5pm and 8am Monday to Thursday and 5pm Friday to 8am Monday or on Public Holidays.
• Double Booking: Crematorium Chapels are booked on the hour. Service time in Chapel is 30 minutes. Should you require more than 30 minutes for the service in the chapel, a second chapel time booking should be made.
• Weekend Services: All above costs are for services conducted Monday - Friday during normal Crematorium operating hours. Funerals can be held on Saturday, Sunday or Public Holidays. Costs can be quoted, depending on day and services required.

Experienced staff are available to complete arrangements - on call 24 hours a day seven days a week.
